Are you curious to learn how naviagation was accomplished until reliable affordable eletronics were readily available to the sailing public? No matter what your interest is, whether it be history or plans of circumnavigation, this two part course will introduce you to the art of trditional navigation.

This seminar is taught both in the clasroom and on the water.

The first 3 hour course is an introduction to the Sextant. Class is limited to 4 people and is $75.00 per person.

The second part of this class is taught on the water in a 6 hour session, noon sights or celestial bodies will be covered: 3 hours of sextant practice and 3 hours of plotting. Class is limited to 4 people and is $120.00 per person.

Some knowledge of coastal piloting and navigation will benefit you in this course although it is not necessary. A sextant will be provided for use during the course, however if have one, bring it along.
